The 2022 Ford Edge is a popular midsize crossover SUV that first debuted in 2006. It’s designed to offer good economy, plenty of passenger and cargo space, and a wide variety of features and options. The latest model is the 2022 Ford Edge, which has five trims to choose from. But which model is suitable for your needs? Here we’ll review each trim level so you can make an informed decision!

Edge SE

The base model is the Edge SE. It comes standard with all the handling features that make this such a great car, such as the Twin-Scroll 2.0L EcoBoost engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. Standard comfort and convenience features include the SYNC 4 entertainment system, six speakers, and FordPass Connect, which serves as a Wi-Fi hotspot for you and your passengers as you drive.

You can also opt for the SE Black Appearance package, which has 19-inch, high-gloss black aluminum wheels and black accents that lend the car a sleeker look. The optional Cargo Accessory package also provides a retractable cargo area cover, rear bumper protector, and cargo mat.

Edge SEL

The SEL trim is the first upgraded trim, and it comes with mostly the same power and handling features as the SE but with a few more available options for the interior. For example, the SEL can be upgraded to include a wireless charging pad, power liftgate, and a 110V/150W AC power Outlet.

The SEL also has optional 18-inch Bright-Machine-Aluminum with Premium Dark Stainless-Painted Pockets. Lastly, you can opt for the SEL Sport Appearance Package, which includes Navy Pier ActiveX seats.

Edge ST-Line

The Edge ST-Line comes standard with 20-Inch Premium Gloss Black-Painted Aluminum Wheels. It also packs more interior and exterior features, such as LED Signature Lighting with Dark Bezel, which are brighter than typical bulbs while using less energy. In addition, it comes standard with the 100V/150W AC Power Outlet and a universal garage door opener.

Edge Titanium

The Titanium trim has options for 20-Inch Polished Aluminum Wheels, Adaptive LED Headlamp with LED Amber Light Blade Turn Signals, and Body-Color Lower Cladding. The interior also comes standard with ambient lighting and the B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen, which consists of 12 speakers and a subwoofer.

There are also more options for seating, including perforated leather-trimmed sport seats, heated rear seats, and heated and cooled front seats. This model also has the optional Titanium Elite Package, which includes a ceramic-colored interior, Brunello door inserts with red stitching, lower fascia with chrome inserts, and more.

Edge ST

Last but not least is the premium model, the Edge ST. This model has a 2.7L EcoBoost engine that boasts 335 horsepower. It has an option for 21″ Premium Glass Black-Painted Aluminum and comes standard with a Glass Black-Painted Mesh Grille showing the ST logo. It’s the only model with seven-speed automatic transmission.

The ST Performance Brake Package features front and rear vented disc brakes in unique colors. This elective package includes red-painted brake calipers, a brushless radiator cooling fan, performance brake pads, and summer-only tires.

Which trim level you should choose depends on your needs and budget. All of the Edge models are terrific cars with a variety of features, but the ST and ST-Line trims are the most performance-oriented. Ready to take the Ford Edge for a spin?
