Whether you want to go for a safe stroll, play softball with your coworkers, or have a picnic with your family, Heath, OH has a park for you that fits the bill. There are 10 local parks maintained by the City of Heath, and today, we’re excited to take a closer look at our favorites.

1. Gellar Park

Gellar Park, sometimes referred to as John C. Geller Park, is conveniently located at 480 Cynthia Street. This 51.77-acre park features many facilities, including two outdoor shelters, softball fields, and sand volleyball courts. It also features a two-mile path, open play areas, and playground equipment that is handicap accessible.

2. Hoback Park

We also love Hoback Park at 42 Dorsey Mill Rd E. One thing we love about this 20.52-acre park is that it features a wheelchair-accessible trail so people of all abilities can enjoy the fresh air and get some exercise. we also love that there are plenty of benches on this paved trail, so you can sit and birdwatch if you need a bit more peace and tranquility in your life. Depending on the time of year, you can expect to see or hear 95 species, including:

  • Mallards
  • Red-shouldered Hawks
  • Belted Kingfishers
  • Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers
  • Winter wrens

However, it is not just a paved trail that this park offers. This park also features an enclosed shelter that is great for a family get-together, plenty of picnic areas, a basketball court, and five Little League fields. If your kids are interested in T-ball, softball, or baseball, you may find yourself visiting this park frequently.

3. Heath City Water Park

Heath City Water Park at 1287 Hebron Road is another favorite local park. It has been a focal point in the community since 1971, and it has been renovated and upgraded several times over the past several decades. One of the most exciting features of this park is a 30-foot speed slide that features an unbelievable drop. There are also two 17-foot tall slides featuring a 40-degree drop and a 30-foot tall, 229-foot long water slide.

Another feature we love about this park is the lazy river. It is 10 feet wide and 660 feet long, so you will have plenty of space and time to enjoy the relaxing river. Other features include a 5,500-square-foot water playground and a spray ground.

There are nearly a dozen outdoor recreational facilities that the City of Heath maintains, but you need reliable transportation to enjoy them. If you are in the market for a more reliable vehicle, like a 2024 Ford Mustang GT Premium, we are here to help. To find the vehicle of your dreams, visit us at Coughlin Ford of Heath today.
