Versatile Performance

Under the 2024 Expedition’s hood, you’ll find a muscular 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. Depending on which trim level you go with, this engine generates between 380 and 400 horsepower in most, though there’s also a high-output variant available that increases output to 440 horses. This engine mates with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and has Auto Start/Stop technology integrated into it to help you save fuel.

Along with the Intelligent 4WD system, which instantly adapts to off-road surroundings, there’s the seven-mode Terrain Management System, as well as a set of available off-road front and rear shocks, giving you all the versatility needed to explore nature with confidence. Once you’re back on the highway, the Active Grille Shutters reduce drag for enhanced fuel efficiency, and the standard multilink independent rear suspension provides excellent handling and smooth rides.

Comforts and Technology

The Expedition’s interior offers a comfortable experience for everyone, with plenty of features to counter weather conditions outside, including ventilated and heated front seats, a heated steering wheel with integrated audio controls, and heated rear seats. Both two and three-row models are available, 60/40 split bench seats are available for the back to accommodate passengers and cargo, and the cargo management system helps you keep things neatly organized and out of the way.

In-cabin technology highlights include a 12.4-inch digital gauges display behind the wheel, a Wi-Fi hotspot, the 15.5-inch SYNC 4A infotainment system with navigation, and wireless connectivity for both Apple and Android devices. Plenty of off-roading tech features are also offered, like Trail 1-Pedal Drive, which lets you accelerate and brake using only the accelerator, and Trail Control: a cruise control for tackling off-road terrains at slower speeds.

Smart Driver Assistance

The many driver-assist features offered with this edition use impressive sensor technology to provide safety and convenience, with highlights like the Lane Keeping System and the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), which together, help keep you in your lane when it might be unsafe to switch into others. Cross-Traffic Alert makes reversing easier by monitoring for oncoming vehicles as you’re doing so, and Intersection Assist does the same when you’re approaching cross-streets and intersections.
