As a Cargo Van, the 2022 Transit Connect is available in two trims, the XL and the XLT. As a Passenger Wagon, the Transit Connect is available in three trims. Those three trims comprise the XL, the XLT, and the premium Titanium.

Cargo Van Capacity

The 2022 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van is available as a short-wheelbase and a long-wheelbase model. The SWB model has 104.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the front seats and 123.2 cubic feet with the passenger seat folded. The LWB has 127.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the front seats and 145.8 cubic feet with the front passenger seat folded down.

Both Cargo Van models have seating for two. The SWB has a maximum payload rating of 1510 pounds, and the LWB has a maximum payload rating of 1550 pounds.

Passenger Capacity

The 2022 Transit Connect Passenger Wagon has seating for up to seven adults. The second and third rows of seats can be folded down to increase luggage capacity.

Easy Access

All models of the 2022 Transit Connect are easy to unload or load or for passengers to enter or exit. Both sides of the 2022 Transit Connect have sliding doors, and a rear liftgate is standard for easy rear access. Swing-out rear cargo doors are optional.

Engine Options

The Passenger Wagon configurations come standard with a 2.0-liter engine that produces 162 horsepower. An optional 2.5-liter engine is available on the XLT and Titanium models. The Cargo Van comes standard with a 2.0-liter engine and is also available with an optional 2.5-liter engine.

Infotainment

The 2022 Transit Connect is available with the SYNC 3 infotainment system. The system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. A premium audio system and wireless charging are also available.

Driver Safety

The 2022 Transit Connect comes with a number of available advanced driver-assist technologies. Key features include pre-collision assist with emergency braking, an available lane-keeping system, and available adaptive cruise control.

Fuel Economy
