Exploring the Trim Levels of the 2025 Ford Ranger

Ranger XL

The XL is the Ranger lineup’s impressively equipped base model. It’s motivated by a 270-hp 2.3L EcoBoost inline-4 engine that is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and generates 310 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain setup results in quick acceleration and a towing capacity of up to 7,500 pounds. Selecting 4×4 for the XLT unlocks the option of the FX4 Off-Road Package that features an electronic-locking differential for added grip in tricky conditions.

Ranger Lariat

Lariat models build on the XLT’s list of features with numerous exterior and interior enhancements. You’ll notice they sport LEDs for the projector headlamps and body-color door handles. An LED center high-mounted stop lamp with cargo lamp increases visibility at night. Passengers will enjoy a genuinely luxurious ride thanks to the Lariat’s standard leather-trimmed seats, ambient lighting, and 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Ranger Raptor

The Raptor is the ultimate Ranger variant, boasting a 405-hp 3.0L EcoBoost V6 and a beefed-up suspension featuring 2.5-inch shock absorbers from FOX Racing. Of course, this model conquers challenging trails with ease, but it’s incredibly quick, as well, with its ability to sprint from 0 to 60 in just over five seconds. The Raptor carries over many of the Lariat’s deluxe amenities.
