Exploring the Trim Levels of the 2025 Ford Expedition

Active

The beginning trim level of the newest Ford Expedition features a powerful 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine that offers 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. The Expedition Active achieves an estimated 16 miles per gallon in the city and 24 on the highway.

This family-friendly trim level is decked out with a 24″ panel display for optimal infotainment, a six-speaker audio system, a wireless charging pad, 10-way power seating, and SirusXM Radio integration. Ford also equipped the Expedition Active with reverse brake assist, a backup camera, and Pro Trailer Backup Assist.

Tremor

The biggest difference with the Tremor trim, besides its bronze-colored exterior features, is its off-roading capabilities when compared to the entry-level trim. Tremor upgrades to a high-output V6 engine for increased horsepower and torque, bigger all-terrain tires, and improved ground clearance for your wild drives. Additionally, it trades an rear-wheel drivetrain for a four-wheel drive system.

King Ranch

King Ranch gets even more adventurous with a handful of new features. Appearance-wise, you’ll notice a different exhaust system along with the addition of front tow hooks, a King Ranch-specific off-road grille, bronze exterior accents, and 22″ Sinister Bronze Diamond Cut Machined Aluminum Wheels. Inside, you’ll see more USB ports as well as a leather steering wheel & leather-trimmed seating.

Other notable changes in the King Ranch include zone lighting, LED fog lamps, power-folding heated side-view mirrors, a flex-powered console, ambient lighting, an HD radio, third-row seating with power-folding technology, and heating & ventilation in the first two rows of seating. The King Ranch also introduces its off-road drivers to its Intelligent 4WD with Terrain Management System, trail one-pedal drive & trail turn assist, fuel tank underbody protection, and modified suspension.

Platinum

The Platinum adds luxury to the mix. Standard features of the 2025 Expedition Platinum trim include silver exterior details, a panoramic roof, exterior mirrors & foot pedals with memory, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with heating & mounted controls, and a universal garage door opener. The ability to use your phone as a key for your vehicle and a 10-speaker audio system with a subwoofer are other intriguing components automatically included in the Platinum.
