Exploring the 2024 Ford Edge: Where Style Meets Performance

Appearance

The Ford Edge is a full-size SUV that commands the road everywhere it goes. The Edge has bold exterior accents, like a silver honeycomb grille with chrome surround and black beltline moldings. The 2024 model is available in a wide range of colors, including Rapid Red, Forged Green Metallic, Stone Blue, and Burgundy Velvet.

The new Edge has a laminated windshield that blocks out excess noise and privacy glass on the rear windows and liftgate windows. Lighting consists of BI-LED low and high beams, automatic headlamps, LED configurable daytime running lamps, and LED taillamps with amber turn signals.

Seating

The Edge seats up to five people, with two front bucket seats and a 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat. All standard seating in the Ford Edge is made with soft cloth trim that offers both comfort and convenience, being easy to clean after spills. The front bucket seats have 4-way manual controls, including a recline function.

Convenience

Inside the Ford Edge, there are four grab handles to assist your passengers when climbing in and out of the SUV. Cargo area LED lights illuminate your cargo space when loading or unloading items in the dark, while the Cargo Management System helps you arrange and secure your items in an organized way. Dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control offers two separate climate regions within your cabin for optimal comfort.

Entertainment

The 2024 Edge comes with SYNC 4A technology, presenting a wide range of entertainment features on an easily accessible touchscreen. The SYNC 4A system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, AM/FM radio, and SiriusXM satellite radio capability. For even more entertainment, you can use FordPass Connect to stream movies and TV shows on up to ten different smartphones, laptops, or tablets.

Power

The Edge delivers a powerful performance with its twin-scroll 2.0L EcoBoost engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. With this combination, you’ll ​achieve 250 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque.

Safety

There’s an extensive list of safety functions in the new Ford Edge, including SOS Post-Crash Alert, Personal Safety System, and Belt-Minder. There are numerous airbags placed strategically throughout the Edge’s cabin, including a driver knee airbag, side-impact airbags, and dual-stage front-row airbags. ​The Ford Co-Pilot360 package comes with a variety of assistive safety functions, including Pre-Collision with Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Keeping System.
